Responsibilities
The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College
Duties
The candidate for the position of Bursar is expected to plan, organize, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the financial system of the College.
He/she would, however, be responsible to the Provost.
Qualifications
Candidate for the post of College Bursar should possess the following qualifications:
A good Honours Degree or ND in Accountancy OR Finance from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 12 years of cognate experiece plus full registration with recognized Professional Accounting Body (ICAN or ANAN).
Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning is an added advantage.
Evidence of attendance of continuous mandatory professional development course is required.
Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Must be an Assistant Deputy Bursar or its equivalent in any tertiary institution of higher learning for period of not less than two (2) years in a higher institution.
Essential Requirement:
Candidates must not be more than 50 years as at the time of assumption of duty.
Conditions of Service
The successful candidates will be entitled to the privileges and benefits specified in the terms and conditions of service for staff of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State and according to other conditions, which may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the College in consultation with the Anambra State Government.
Tenure
The appointment of the candidate is for a single term of three (3) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
