Medical Doctor (Obstetrics / Gynaecology) at Christian Miracle Hospital

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive outpatient consultations, manage antenatal and fertility clinics, and provide specialized care for obstetric and gynaecological cases.
Surgical Procedures: Independently perform or assist in obstetric and gynaecological surgeries, including Caesarean Sections (C-S), fibroid, ovarian cyst, appendectomies, and other gynaecological procedures
Patient Management: Lead daily ward rounds, manage pre- and post-operative care, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric services.
Emergency Response: Provide 24/7 on-site medical support during scheduled shifts and handle obstetric emergencies with precision and speed.
Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate medical records, participate in clinical audits, and collaborate with the nursing and lab teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responding to patients’ medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral, where necessary.
Ordering lab tests and interpreting the test results.
Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
Catch babies, perform operations for patients who require it, routine clinical ward rounds
Explaining procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
Liaising with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
Promoting health education in conjunction with other health professionals.
Meeting targets set by the hospital for patient satisfaction.
Discussing and evaluating new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.
Keeping up-to-date with medical developments, treatment, and medication.
Observing and assessing the work of trainee doctors, nurses and medical students.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from an accredited institution.
Certification: Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a current practicing license.
Experience: Proven interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is mandatory.
