Job Summary
The Operations Auditor will evaluate the effectiveness, compliance, and efficiency of operational processes across outlets and business units.
The role will identify operational risks, control gaps, irregularities, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and surprise audits of operational activities, outlets, inventory, cash handling, and documentation.
Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
Verify sales records, stock movements, expenses, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, fraud risks, and operational irregularities.
Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
Follow up on implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
Monitor operational performance and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Store/Outlet teams, and Management during audits.
Maintain accurate audit working papers and documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
3 – 5years' experience in operations audit, internal audit, compliance, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, inventory, cash management, and operational procedures.
Good analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant reporting tools.
Experience in the food, hospitality, retail, or FMCG industry is an added advantage.
