Key Responsibilities
Emergency Response Operations:

Deploy containment booms, skimmers, sorbents, and other spill-response equipment.
Assist in shoreline cleanup, vessel operations, and recovery activities.
Support rapid mobilization during spill events, drills, and training exercises.
Operate response vessels, pumps, generators, and other mechanical equipment (with training).

Equipment Handling & Readiness:

Inspect, clean, and maintain spill-response equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Assist with loading/unloading gear, staging materials, and preparing deployment sites.
Report equipment issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
Maintain awareness of site conditions and report unsafe situations immediately.

Field Support & Logistics:

Support shoreline assessments, wildlife protection efforts, and waste management tasks.
Assist with documentation, including activity logs, equipment usage, and cleanup records.
Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and government agencies.

Training & Preparedness:

Participate in regular drills, certifications, and response-readiness training.
Maintain knowledge of response techniques, equipment operation, and emergency protocols.
Stay prepared for on-call or short-notice deployment.
