Job Purpose:

Why does the job exist?

To coordinate and manage units and operations within the shift to achieve efficient manufacturing and deliver customer driven operational performance targets, within the defined budget.

To meet plan achievement of Soap products for the financial year

Principal Accountabilities:

Any requirement for organizing & planning including own work and the allocation of resources
Typical decisions made and if they are advisory or directly responsible for the outcome
To ensure effective and efficient coordination of production operations to meet and deliver volume targets by due dates meeting specific quality standards as required by marketing plans
To ensure maintenance programmes are carried out promptly and continuous availability of equipment/machinery; ensure Health, Safety and Environment Management
To prepare reports (daily productions, forecast and plant compliance) to account for monthly variances and confirmation of monthly production plan
Managing team and individual performance through regular reviews, monitoring objectives and ensuring development needs are identified and actioned
Takes responsibility for compliance with all EMS related activities in the department in order to prevent, reduce or control environmental pollution arising from environmental aspects identified in the department as documented in the EMS Manual, Departmental Aspect and Impacts register, EMS related SOPs and other relevant documents
Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OH&SE)
Continuous improvement, communication, and employee relations

Internal & External Relationships:

Attach a preferred suppliers list if available
Detail which networks the jobholder will be part of e.g., finance, category
Collaborates with the Process & Finishing team in delivering the weekly agreed supply plan.
Works closely with the Process and Finishing team, the operations team and the QC/QA team to ensure the agreed plan is delivered within budget.

Required Qualifications:

B.Sc./B.Eng. HND Engineering related, Industrial Chemistry
Sound Software Knowledge and expertise
Sound AutoCAD Software Knowledge and expertise

Required Experience:

At least 3 – 5 years. work experience in a similar role with a large organization
Ability to withstand stress and pressure
Good eye for infrastructural, design and engineering details
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite
Excellent Analytical and Numerical skills
Excellent planning and scheduling skills.
Good communication skills
